Woooooooooooooooooooooooow

Where. To. Begin.

Anyone that was at this past Saturday's America's Next Top Model casting call in NYC AFTER 5pm needs to call/ write and attend the Tyra Banks show and to raise HELL with ANTM and DEMAND a 2nd NYC casting AND a video submission extension!

Ugh.

Ok. So they say you never know unless you try right? Well, what happens when you aren't given the opportunity to try ... for oh .... let's say 12 seasons? And then when you ARE afforded the chance to show everyone who thinks you're too fat and/ or short that you've got what it takes to make it in the fashion industry (not necessarily high fashion/runway- as liberal as I am I'm also fully aware that there is NO demand for models my height, bodytype, complexion, etc. in the couture/ runway/ high fashion markets) ... I digress.

What happens when the one and ONLY chance a model that looks JUST LIKE YOU DO can be cast for a show as well known, reputable and good for EXPOSUUUUUUUUURE as Top Model is haphazardly thrown into play? What happens when the location coordinators don't alert the local authorities to the presence of thousands of girls in the heart of midtown in the middle of the F*CKING day so that by the time the cops DO show up the line winds around the block a billion times and is 25 people deep and God knows how many people long? What happens when the cops pay no attention to whats going on in the area? When they dont listen to the hopefuls online explaining that the guy in the red hat and his buddy in the tan jumpsuit are up to no good? When we let you know there are girls coming in OFF THE STREET and bustin in front of the line while chicks that have been there from 5,6,7,8,9,10 am remain unseen? What happens when a random ass SMOKING CAR creeps up onto the block and a bunch of already on edge girls think there's a fire? And then our homeboys in the red and tan run up in the barricades looking for some chick named' Natalie? While people scream "FIRE!' and 'THEY'RE SHOOTING!'

???????

Ahh yes.

I'll tell you what happens.

THIS HAPPENS

That was my Saturday folks! While my mother watched my son for me so that I could attempt to make moves with my modeling career, I was being ignored by the cops, and ANTM producers, told to get off the block, told that NY casting was DONE and they'd be casting in Chicago, Dallas and LA, and that I could still send in a video submission ...

But wait. If I wanted to send a video submission ... Wouldn't I have DONE that already?

Didn't the video submission deadline end March 10th?

Yeaaaaaaah I think it fuckin did. And last time I checked? I lived in New York muthafuckin City.

Not Dallas.

Not chicago.

And not FUCKIN LA !

I would HIGHTAIL my little ass to Chi-town without a 2nd thought if my lovely mother wanted ANYTHING to do with ANTM and would agree to watch my little man for me. But she is NOT havin it. And I don't blame her.

I honestly would be really happy if I had just got the opportunity to be seen, and been turned away. I'm not what you're looking for? Cool, no problem. You learn how to accept rejection and keep it moving as a model. But not knowing? That shit is killing me.

Oh I forgot to tell you guys!

After the 'altercation' occurred, (Which was really a line full of already on edge girls running from what they were told was a fire/ gunfire), the cops promptly let us know that the casting had been shut down. There were upwards of 1,000 girls left unseen. I'm sure of it. So after standing there all day, being promised the opportunity to be seen as long as we remained civil, getting within 25 yards of that DAMN door, remaining civil, warning the police that the 2 men who were later arrested for the 'altercation' were up to no good, being ignored, being uninformed, being MISinformed, being cold, hungry and above all else HOPEFUL, being in the presence of and reacting to imminent danger, and lining RIGHT BACK THE FUCK UP after the arrests were made (The fuck? you thought I was leavin?!??!)

YES! After all this my friends. Tajhy was told to get the hell off the street.

Grabbed a vente mocha frappucino around the corner at Starbucks, portfolio & application in hand, called my mom, called a cab, and went home to my son.

What a fuckin day ........

A much more cohesive, much LESS opinionated version of the days events will be posted by the end of the night so I can gather up my girlies and raise HELL over the lack of care and organization that was put into (or should I say NOT put into?) the ONLY NYC casting they had! Like what?? Its New York City, one of the fashion capitols of the UNIVERSE, and you're casting for AVERAGE HEIGHT WOMEN. THAT WANT TO BE MODELS ?!??!?!? And you dont prepare for the WORLD to show up !??!??

You're StoOpid. With two O's =/
